Broadcasting in Idaho

In Idaho, broadcasting either TV or Radio, is not one of those skills taught at area higher education facilities. That is one of those things that our media werx department is working on.

I tuned into KMVT-CH11’s Rise & Shine morning show. Not bragging but I did better on my hour long 4x’s a week cable access show in Pocatello. Heck I had no advertisers, although had Cable Access been allowed advertisers , I no doubt would have had some. The fact is, I pushed the envelope on what might be termed LDS rated decency. I gave my radical viewers what they wanted. Went from 1 time per week to 4 times a week, and brought viewers that normally did not watch Cable Access to Cable Access, heck I even had 3 bars in town that started to tune in.

Thing is; I shot all outside video, edited within an hour, did my own cgg , and cgi, wrote my own copy, and went on air, on time each time I was on air.

I was for all intents and purposes, trained by some of the best in the area. I walked into KART in Jerome Idaho at age 12, and while I left the industry by age 17, to go tow and fly, I have kept partly active as well. I learned from area broadcast veterans, as Kelly KLAUSE, Carl Raida, Phil Gray, Kelly Carlson to name a few. Went to the Ron Bailey Western School of Broadcasting, but I always developed my own on air style, one that is a bit too wyld even today by the more conservative of local area TV and Radio stations. That’s why in 1977 the Hazzard County Knytes Kustmz Association, (Now the Knytes-of-Anarchy) set up our own albeit outlaw, but our own station. When we began generating more ad revenue than local stations the FCC came calling, so we applied and got a station license . When I left shortly after my Moms passing in 1985 , the station went dark. That being that in 1997 we renewed the station , but military duty once again called me away. After I finally lit in 2009 back in the valley we as a club, went about putting the station back on the air. Thankfully the license is still valid, and with a studio relocation to Buhl, from Gooding we are now just weeks away from throwing the big switch. KDXB, FM 105.7 will go on the air with 250,000 watts FM. And will be the voice of not only the Knytes-of-Anarchy, the AyreWolvez Military Aviation Association, but of the Modern Confederacy, and will continue to be the one station that dares to fight the system. With all that said, I really, need to ask, why is it that KMVT has such a problem attracting really seasoned pros, for news anchors as well as studio techs? Hey its my opinion, that there is something holdin KMVT back from excelling . KMVT could be one hell of a powerhouse, but sadly is spooked by the believed boycott of LDS and religious conservatism owned business’s etc. But they do try. But if I couldn’t do better, I’d quit.

Imagine if there was no CSpan , we need to get a Duke in DC

I was watching early Saturday morning the debate on the Senate floor, concerning the Bush Tax cut extension, and the underlying consideration of extending Unemployment payments. First, I say anyone making over $250K ought to be paying more in income taxes than those making well under that, including SMB’s . The big corporations should be shouldering the burden of digging us out of the economic sand trap we are in , in this Union. Second , I truly think for those out of work, with jobs being thinner than the beer at the Boars Nest, that Unemployment payments ought to be extended. But what I’d rather see, if the Feds want to do something serious, is to award everyone in the Union, a one time gift of say $150K, which might allow some folks to expand or rebuild, or even start a SMB(Small , Medium sized Business). This way a few folks could get hired, meaning more money going into the coffers of city, state and even Federal Governments. Give people the ability, to earn, rather than just sponge. Even I, would give up my SSA if I got a one time gift of a $150K, to expand my company. Shit then I would not have to use 450.00 a month of the $674.00 I get from SSA, plus having to use $750.00 a month from the $1,500.00 Military pension I get each month. Just to keep AyreWolf Aviation and Dixie Towing, going towing and flying.

But I got to thinking, what would these politicians do, if their every move was not being watched on TV? Granted few do, since debate on the floor of the House or Senate is not as exciting as Keeping up with the Kardashians, or such , but these scoundrels we all elect every other year, speak a great song, until they get elected, then its like, I met you where? The only, and I say this right strongly, the only Congressman that really listened, was good ole Ben Jones, who played me on TV as good ole Cooter on the TV show, Dukes-of-Hazzard, that will forever be in the hearts of all Knytes-of-Anarchy members.

Yes Cooter was a two term Congressman from the state of Georgia as a Democrat. Many voted Republican this last election. I didn’t. I voted straight CNP (Confederate,National,Party) Except for Governor. For that, I voted Independent candidate, Jana Kemp.

With that all said, what we need to do is elect a Duke to office, send a bit of Hazzard County to DC. Can you say Bo Duke for President? How about Deputy Enos? Yep what we need in DC is a Duke or at least a Knyte.

America might become more humble

Now that the Union Yankee congress has cut the purse strings of unemployment insurance payments, in the guise of saving money to reduce the domestic debt, perhaps a few of the high and mighty, might get to being a bit more humble. The fact that jobs are as few as meat on a turkey drumstick in from of Boss Hogg, there are some, what some might call menial jobs out there. The fact that digging ditch, loading hay bales, milking cows or shoveling manure is not like sitting in a comfortable ergonomically contoured chair in front of a computer in an air conditioned office. But hey, shoveling shit is still a job. No it does not pay $200K a year, but income, is income.

Granted the menial jobs, are held by migrant workers, but if you want and now perhaps need to work, you CAN FIND work.

All too many that were on unemployment pay checks got lazy. Who wants to go look for work, or take, even lower paying  jobs, when a few hours looking satisfies the requirements and yet you go home sack out on the couch and vegetate. Two years ago, when the Knytes searched for sales, and on air help in our media werx, few wanted to work, for what we could pay. After all they could go home, curl up on the couch, and chow down. Only one stepped up and busted butt. And remains VP, of Southern Steele Media/Confederate Star Network.

Just like a few weeks ago now, the Boise State University Bronco’s thinking they were all that, got brought down, hard. My mom used to say the, bird that flys too high, usually ends up in a cow pie.

Now that a few more have been brought down to earth, perhaps those same people might be open to hearing the message of the modern confederacy, and the Knytes-of-Anarchy.

UpDate , Phooey!!

During the early morning hours as I was sleeping, started to feeling a bit cold and damp, come to find out I had pissed my bed. Must have been the 100 mile sea I drank at last nights , Knytes meeting.

So I woke up, washed the sheets and while they were drying , checked my alternate email inbox. So there was Windows Live explaining that my Windows Live account was being upgraded and to log in. So I did, and while it took 3 tries hell 3 times a charm they say, but got logged in, and all was well. WELL sort of. I cain’t finger out what is so super from the Windows Live account I had before. So I say , Update Phooey, leave the gall darn thing alone.

On another tech tip. Found out a part victory of the KOA, is that Windows Office 2011 will once again have Clippy. Yes that pesky Windows Office Assistant that we all love is back, hurray for us!!!

Now that SOA is in hibernation until October 2011, its time to get back to things Hazzard County.

Sons finale , all I can say is whew

If you somehow missed Tuesday nights finale episode of Sons , you missed one helluva show. Opie snuffing Agent Stahl was the last thing I expected, but was not surprised, plus the entire club knowing it all and not letting on they knew.

All I can say is my mouth is watering for the next season.

If somehow you missed this episode, thankfully , FX repeats it Friday night at 23:00 hours and Sunday at 03:00 hours. But this is the end of it until this fall.

In short, all I can say about the Finale is Whew!!!

Eagle Eye, could really happen!!!

 

This could really happen to you, and it ain’t funny.

The movie that preceded SOA on FX Tuesday night told the story of the nation being terrorized through technology. Trouble is while somewhat fictional is not so far fetched. The things we view as convenience like GPS, OnStar , Cell phones, even the blooming Internet, can mean big brother can make you do shit you never would think, let alone dream to do. Yet it’ll be disguised as in the favor and protection of national security. But the fact that our Government leaders are corrupt, our laws are being circumvented to keep those same corrupt leaders in power and robbing YOU out of your rights.

Hell any more , I’m at times fearful of even turning on my computer, knowing everything I write could be taken out of context as it is frequently, and shot back at me with treason written all over it. The truth is, our nation , no matter if your Yankee, Confederate, Democrat or Republican is at risk. My father, my Mother, My step brother all died to protect our freedoms. As a member of the Knytes-of-Anarchy, a unit of the United Confederate Marine Corps. pledge to keep fighting to protect our rights, as will all Knytes members. Whether thats on the outside, or the inside looking out.

I read a thing from our member in Oklahoma, how the History Channel snubbed cable TV affiliates to not run TV ads , by the Sons of Confederate Veterans during a feature on the Civil War. Could this be a challenge by both the Republicans and Democrats, as well as the Union Government to stifle the truth? You be the judge. I have stated here more times than I have changed my BVD’s , that the only way , ONLY WAY, that the voice of the Confederacy and thus the truth can be aired is by the establishment of our own radio and TV network.

All too many , speak and voice their opinions , that is fundamental , but just barking is not going to fix the problem. Funds are needed to make this media project of the Knytes-of-Anarchy happen.

The FCC has extended the time allowed for a new station to begin operation from time of CP and license approval. To one year or until June 2011. Our app was approved two years ago. The main reason I moved from Utah to Wyoming, then to cold Idaho was not fresher pastures to go towing, it was and is to establish the radio grid for our media network for and of the Confederacy. We need you dollars now, not later.
